Planet, a leading global provider of integrated technology and payments solutions for retail and hospitality customers, has announced the appointment of Colin Close as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Colin has significant sales and commercial leadership experience, an extensive background in integrated payments and a strong industry network. He joined Planet’s Executive Leadership Team in January 2023 as Head of Global Business Development.
Over his time at Planet, Colin has been instrumental in leading the growth of Planet’s customer and technology partner relationships across its enterprise, financial services and emerging verticals businesses.
Prior to joining Planet, Colin led Elavon’s European Business as Interim President, in addition to running its Enterprise Division across Retail, Hospitality and Emerging Verticals. His over 20-year career includes previous leadership roles at LexisNexis and Barclays.
